About BizWorthly

An AI wingman for the buyers brokers won't return calls to.

BizWorthly.com analyzes business-for-sale listings the way an experienced acquirer would. It scores the deal, surfaces what the seller did not say, and hands you the exact questions to ask before you sign anything. Built for first-time buyers, by the founder of the largest Business For Sale by Owner community in the United States.

What we are

What BizWorthly does

BizWorthly is an AI analyst sitting between a serious first-time buyer and a sea of business-for-sale listings. You paste any listing. In about 60 seconds, BizWorthly returns:

  • A category-by-category score for the listing's strengths, weaknesses, and unanswered questions.
  • A red-flag report highlighting customer concentration risk, owner dependency, weak transferability, missing financials, and the other patterns that most often turn into post-close surprises.
  • The seller call script: the actual questions to ask, in order, with what a strong and a weak answer look like.
  • A draft Letter of Intent tailored to the listing, with sensible defaults for price structure, due diligence period, exclusivity, and seller note.
  • A Kanban deal tracker so you can run more than one deal at a time without losing the thread on any of them.

We do not list businesses for sale. We do not represent sellers. We do not collect a success fee. BizWorthly is paid software that works exclusively for the buyer.

Why we built it

Why first-time buyers need this

The asymmetry in a small-business sale is brutal for the buyer. The seller has lived inside the business for years. The broker is paid by the seller. The accountant works for the seller. The lawyer works for the seller. The buyer walks in alone, often making the biggest financial decision of their life with less information than they'd require to buy a used car.

Per the IBBA Q4 2025 Market Pulse, first-time individual buyers made 46% of Main Street acquisitions in 2025. They are the largest single buyer class. They are also the buyers with the least support. BizWorthly exists to close that gap with software, on demand, at a price a first-time buyer can actually justify.

What "first-time buyer" really means here. Most of our users are not finance professionals. They are operators, sales leaders, engineers, tradespeople, and recent corporate exits. They can read a P&L. They have never read a Quality of Earnings report. BizWorthly meets them where they are.
Who built it

Who is behind BizWorthly

Hans Peter Jeschke
Founder, BizWorthly.com · Founder, Business For Sale by Owner community (284,600+ members)

Hans Peter Jeschke founded and runs the largest Business For Sale by Owner community in the United States, with more than 284,000 members. The community is a daily front-row seat to what actually trips up first-time buyers: deals that price reasonably and still fall apart in diligence, sellers who walk away from real money over ego or fear, and brokers who quietly bury problems until the eleventh hour.

BizWorthly is the product of those four years of watching the same mistakes happen on repeat. The mission is simple: encode what experienced acquirers do in their head into software that a first-time buyer can use the night before a seller call. Same analysis. A fraction of the price. None of the conflict of interest.

What we believe

How we think about this

Buyers, not brokers
Brokers are paid by sellers. BizWorthly is paid by buyers. That alignment shows up in every recommendation we surface and every red flag we refuse to soften.
Cited, not invented
Every benchmark we publish is sourced from a public primary source (BizBuySell Insight Report, IBBA Market Pulse, SBA loan data) and linked inline. If we cannot cite it, we do not claim it.
Boring is good
The best small-business acquisitions are not exciting. They are boring, durable cash flow that a careful operator can grow 5 to 10% a year. We optimize the product for that buyer.
Software not a service
BizWorthly is a tool, not a broker, not an advisor, not a fund. You own the analysis, the LOI, and the decision. We just remove the asymmetry.

About the company behind BizWorthly

BizWorthly.com is operated by Idillo Inc., a US-based software company. Contact: support@bizworthly.com. Legal and privacy details are on the terms and privacy pages.

We are intentionally a small team. Updates to the analyzer, the LOI generator, and the seller-script library ship on a weekly cadence and are based directly on what users in the Business For Sale by Owner community ask for. If you have feedback, send it. We read every message.
